Cricket Match Information:
Australia vs Pakistan series got off to an abrupt start in Sydney as rain played the spoilsport during Australia’s run chase. The first cricket game was abandoned due to rain and now the caravan moves to Canberra, where the second T20 international cricket game will be played. Rain disturbed the first T20 game twice, once in the Pakistan’s batting innings and then in the second innings when it proved to be too heavy to resume the innings again. Our prediction, on the basis of the limited showing in the first game, is of another dominating performance from Australia.

Australia are once again being led by Aaron Finch in this cricket series. He led his side to victory against Sri Lanka by a 3-0 margin and almost won the first encounter against Pakistan.
For the cricket series against Pakistan, Australia have gone in with the same squad that played against Sri Lanka with one big change, Glenn Maxwell has taken an indefinite break from the game of cricket due to mental issues hence, he will not be taking part in this series. Australia played Ben McDermett in place of Maxwell in the last T20 game and are likely to give him another opportunity.
Our prediction is of the same playing eleven that played the last cricket game.
Here is our prediction of Australia’s playing XI:
- Alex Carey
- Aaron Finch
- David Warner
- Steve Smith
- Ben McDormett
- Ashton Turner
- Ashton Agar
- Pat Cummins
- Mitch Starc
- Kane Richardson
- Adam Zampa
Pakistan are being led by Babar Azam in this cricket series. He has replaced Sarfraz Ahmed in the shortest format of the cricket game.
It is going to be a big challenge for Babar Azam to begin his captaincy stint from an Australian tour. In the first game of cricket against Australia, the challenge was evident as Pakistan struggled to cope with the challenge of bowling against the opening pair of David Warner and Aaron Finch.
Our prediction is of the same playing eleven that played the last cricket game against Australia in Sydney.
Here is our prediction of Pakistan’s playing XI:
- Babar Azam
- Fakhar Zaman
- Iftikhar Ahmed
- Mohammad Rizwan
- Haris Sohail
- Asif Ali
- Shahdab Khan
- Imad Wasim
- Mohammad Aamir
- Mohammad Irfan
- Wahab Riaz
Expert Prediction: AUS vs PAK
Pakistan began their short tour of Australia in Sydney with a T20 game. However, the game could not be completed due to heavy rain. There are still two T20 games to go in the series and they would like to improve on their performance.
Pakistan had a mixed game in Sydney. They were good in patches with the bat, with Babar Azam scoring a fine unbeaten half-century and Mohammad Rizwan making an impression with a fine knock of 31 off 33 runs. However, the rest of the batting could not quite perform and they managed to post a total of 107 runs after 15 overs.
Australia, on the other hand, got off to a flier and were cruising towards their target when rain arrived in the second innings. In the 3.1 overs of Australian innings, Australia scored 41 runs, with Aaron Finch scoring 37 runs off just 16 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. There was little doubt that if the game had continued, Australia would have won the game of cricket.
Our prediction guru reckons it is going to be once again difficult for Pakistan to contend with Australian challenge in the second game. Australia look in fine form right now, whereas Pakistan are going through a transition phase. In home conditions, Australia seem unstoppable at the moment, whereas Pakistan’s bowling, especially Mohammad Irfan, looked off-colour. Pakistan will be looking at Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Aamir to do well as it is a young squad. But for now, Aaron Finch and David Warner are waiting to pounce on them.
