Cricket Match Preview:
In the end, it was a familiar story for Australia. Despite changing their approach, despite once again not letting Pakistan score big, and despite Glenn Maxwell’s special in the end, it was not going to be enough for Australia. Pakistan were once again too good in these conditions and it has been a fine comeback for them post the Asia Cup debacle.
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first in the second T20 cricket game; this is not how the rest of the teams are going about T20 as most of them prefer to chase. But this is not like any other venue and Sarfraz knows it. He knows that if his team can even huff and puff to a total of 150 runs then his bowlers will be able to defend it. That is exactly how both games in this series has panned out.
Australia can only hope to improve their performance in the third and final T20 cricket game. They have already lost the series and while their bowlers could hold their heads high, their batting has been badly found out against the familiar nemesis of spin bowling. Just a quick look at Imad Wasim’s figures in this series can tell us how impactful his spells have been in this series. If Australia are to win the final game, they would have to strategize the run scoring against Imad.
Glenn Maxwell’s knock must have been very pleasing for Australia. His ouster from test cricket format led to a wide outcry in Australia and this knock would have especially been noticed by the selectors. Australian spinners like Adam Zampa also gave a good account of themselves against the good players of spin and that would have been another positive for Australia.
Pakistan have been the best T20 side in the world and they completed their 10th consecutive series win. They got all the bases covered especially for these conditions and they might go with some new players in the final cricket game. One aspect they might want to improve upon is their middle order batting, which has not been up to the mark so far in the series.
Cricket Match Information:
Pakistan will look to clean sweep Australia when these two sides take on each other in the third and final T20 cricket match. Pakistan have already won the series by winning the first two cricket matches and are currently leading the series by 2-0.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Pakistan have won the series by winning both games in the series. They might give an opportunity to players like Usman Khan, who have not got the chance as yet in the series. Our prediction is to expect some changes in the lineup.
Here is our prediction of Pakistan’s playing XI:
- Mohammad Hafeez
- Fakhar Zaman
- Babar Azam
- Shoaib Malik
- Sarfraz Ahmed
- Asif Ali
- Faheem Ashraf
- Imad Wasim
- Shaheen Afridi
- Shahdab Khan
- Usman Khan
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Australia have had youngsters come in for this series but unfortunately for them, they have not managed to fire collectively. Our prediction is they might undergo one or two changes in the lineup.
Here is our prediction of Australia’s playing XI:
- Aaron Finch
- D’Arcy Short
- Chris Lynn
- Glenn Maxwell
- BR McDermott
- AT Carey
- Ashton Agar
- Nathan Coulter-Nile
- AJ Tye
- Adam Zampa
- Billy Stanlake
Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
D’Arcy Short has been good with his left arm spin bowling for Australia. Unfortunately for them, he has not been good with the bat. He was, unluckily, given out in the last game of cricket. Our prediction is to expect a good performance from him in this game.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
150 proved to be match-winning scores for Pakistan in both the T20 cricket games. It would be great for Australia if they can bat first in the last game without any scoreboard pressure. Pitch will be similar to the last game. Conditions are expected to be dry.
Pakistan will begin this game of cricket as favourites again. They would like their middle order to get some runs in this game. Our prediction is of another Pakistan win and a clean sweep for Australia.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Babar Azam (PAK) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Imad Wasim (PAK) – 2 or more wickets
Most Sixes (Prediction):
Fakhar Zaman (PAK)
