Cricket Match Preview:
Australia and Pakistan will take on each other in the fourth cricket ODI in Dubai. Australia stretched their winning run to five cricket games now as we saw them go 2 nil up over Pakistan in Sharjah. By the time this piece is being written, the third cricket game had not been played as yet.
Australia have been quite outstanding in this cricket series. They were down in the dumps a couple of months back but all of a sudden, they have emerged as a strong contender for the World Cup. Australia are the defending champions of the World Cup and are looking every bit as that side. From having limited options to having everybody available including David Warner and Steve Smith, Australia are reaching the level that most opponents feared they would.
In this cricket series, Australia have been tested by the young squad of Pakistan, but they have managed to prevail due to some good disciplined bowling, inexperienced opposition lineup and marathon partnership at the top of the order in between Usman Khawaja and Aaron Finch. In the second cricket ODI, the duo, in reply to Pakistan’s 284 runs, put on 209 runs in just 36.4 overs and sealed the cricket game with that partnership.
Pakistan must be concerned about the form of their pace bowler Mohammad Aamir, who has completely lost his wicket-taking ability in the 50 over format of the cricket game. Since the Champions Trophy final in 2017, his average is shockingly high at 92. It remains to be seen if Pakistan do end up taking him to the World Cup after all.
For Australia, skipper Aaron Finch has hit a sublime form and scored his second consecutive hundred of the series. Finch went even bigger this time with his score of 153, out which is now his highest score ever in ODI cricket format. The concern for Australia would be the injury of pacer Jhye Richardson, who might have done damage to his World Cup selection.
Cricket Match Information:
Australia and Pakistan will take on each other in the fourth cricket match of the five-match ODI cricket series. Australia have won the first two cricket games of the series and will now look to win the remaining cricket games as well to go into the World Cup. Pakistan, on the other hand, will look to come back into the series.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Australia have already won two cricket games in this cricket series. Our prediction is of same the same playing eleven that won them the first two cricket games except for Jhye Richardson, who is out injured.
Here is our prediction of Australia’s playing XI:
- Aaron Finch
- Alex Carrey
- Shaun Marsh
- Glenn Maxwell
- Marcus Stoinis
- Peter Handscomb
- Adam Zampa
- JP Behrendroff
- Nathan Lyon
- Usman Khawaja
- Nathan Coulter-Nile
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Pakistan have decided to rest a few of their players for this cricket series. Their regular skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has been rested and in his absence, Shoaib Malik will be the skipper. Our prediction is of a few changes to their playing eleven as they have lost both cricket games so far.
Here is our prediction of Pakistan’s playing XI:
- Shoaib Malik
- Umar Akmal
- Harris Sohail
- Faheem Ashraf
- Imad Wasim
- Shan Masood
- Mohammad Aamir
- Yasir Shah
- Mohammad Rizwan
- Mohammad Abbas
Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Mohammad Rizwan hit a very good hundred in the second cricket ODI. He knows that once the regular players of Pakistan return in the mix, it will be difficult for him to get the chance. Hence, our prediction is of another good knock from him.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
This cricket game will be played in Dubai. The last international cricket game played here was between New Zealand and Pakistan in 2018. That cricket game was abandoned due to unexpected rain. Our prediction is of a score of around 275 this time around. Pitch is expected to be slow and low again as is the norm in Dubai. Conditions are expected to be dry.
Australia will begin this game of cricket as favourites as well. They have played some excellent cricket in the series both with the bat and the ball and are looking ominous for the World Cup. Hence, our prediction is of an Australian victory.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Shaun Marsh (AUS) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Adam Zampa (AUS) -2 or more wickets
Most Sixes (Prediction):
