Both the teams Mysuru Warriors and Namma Shivamogga will have to get their focus back as they have hardly gotten any match time. Both these teams would be playing only their third game of the tournament when they meet in Mysore.
In the last three games played between the two sides, Shivamogga have had the upper hand over the Warriors. They have managed to win 2 out of the 3 games while Mysuru last beat Shivamogga in 2016 edition of the tournament. Led by Jagadeesha Suchith, Warriors got off to a great start in the tournament by defeating Bellary Tuskers by 7 wickets. On the other Shivamogga got off to a disappointing start by losing to Hubli Tigers by 25 runs in their opening game.
Suchith would be hoping to lead Mysuru Warriors to another title win, they last won the tournament in 2014. So far, no team has managed to win the tournament twice and Warriors would be determined to break that jinx. They also have the team to do so as they showed in the opening game. Their bowling stood out in the game on a pitch which was very good for batting. They just didn’t allow Tuskers to get away, their opening bowlers Prateek Jain and Vyshak Vijay Kumar not only bowled an economical spell they also picked up 5 wickets among them. Once a team picks up wickets at the top their chance of winning improves dramatically. Suchith tooled from the front and picked up 2 wickets for just 20 runs in 3 overs. These efforts meant Warriors had to chase down an under-par total of just 146 runs. The chase was made to be merely a formality once Raju Bhatkal and Amit Verma put on a partnership of 91 runs.
Shivamogga will have to be mindful of Warrior’s strengths. Their batting in the first game was poor and Warriors would like to target this weakness. Their bowling looked in fine form until Vinay Kumar came on to the crease. They had Tigers at 68 for 4 at one stage but couldn’t quite finish off the innings and let Hubli Tigers score 160 which was a par score on the board.
While it was a good score it wasn’t an impossible task that it was made out to be by Shivamogga. Their batsmen just never got going and not only they lost the wickets, they just never were in the chase. They ended up scoring 135 runs at the end of their twenty overs. Clearly, they need to put in a lot of work on their batting and especially now when every side would be more eager than ever to get victories under their belt.
You would be excused if you didn’t notice that a T20 league was currently going on. Such has been the state of the weather in Hubli that 3 matches were abandoned without a ball being bowled. It was almost as if somebody put off the lights in an ongoing party. Karnataka Premier League came to a complete standstill. Amidst this chaos, the decision has been taken to move the rest of the games to Mysore. While the weather is around Mysore as well, it remains to be seen if we get to see the full games here.

Teams would like to chase now that pitches will be tricky to judge. Also, with the weather continuing to be a factor its always better to chase rather than put on a total on the board.
MATCH CONDITIONS AND PITCH
Pitch will be conducive to fast bowling at the start and will gradually become easier to bat on. Rain is expected on the match day and we can expect some interruptions.
BETRALLY INDIA`S PREDICTION
Mysuru Warriors looked a better side in their opening game. They seem to have more depth and all bases covered. Namma Shivamogga, on the other hand, will be more anxious now that after losing their first game they didn’t get any game time. Hence, our prediction would be Mysuru Warriors.
