Cricket Match Preview:

Teams have now moved to Leeds, where they will take on each other in the third Ashes cricket test match. In many ways, this will be the moving test match of this cricket series between the two very balanced and equally competent sides. Australia would have been delighted with their win in the first test match as they have not tasted a lot of success on these shores in the past few Ashes series.
England would be kicking themselves for losing the first cricket test match after bossing the game like they did on the first day of the first test match. They had Australia absolutely struggling at 122 for 8, but they let them off the hook and allowed Australia to post a competitive total. Of course, it would not have been possible without the genius of Steve Smith. Smith played not only one of his greatest knocks, it was one of the greatest knocks of all time.
England have decided to unleash their X-factor, Jofra Archer, in this cricket series. The rise of Archer has come at a staggering rate, where a few months back, he was just playing franchise cricket and then he was picked up for the World Cup, bowled the final of the World Cup Final and won England the trophy. For any youngster debuting for his country, these are the stuff even dreams do not account for. Now he will be looking to get his side back in the cricket series.
England dropped Moeen Ali from the second test, whereas James Anderson is still expected to be recovering from his injury. Australia would be looking to give chance to either Mitch Starc or Josh Hazlewood at some stage in a long cricket series. England have had a mixed record on this ground as they have won just two out of the last five cricket games and lost three. Australia would like to hunt on that fact and pile on the misery for the home nation.

Cricket Match Information:

England will take on Australia in the third Ashes test match. Australia won the first cricket test match by 251 runs and by the time this piece is being written, the second cricket test match had not been played. Australia are currently the winner of the Ashes trophy and are looking to defend it in England.

Probable XI (Our Prediction):

England are being led by Joe Root in this cricket series. They have not had a great run in the longer format of the cricket game. Our prediction is of the same playing eleven that played the last cricket game.

Here is our prediction of England’s playing XI:

  • Jason Roy
  • RJ Burns
  • Jonny Bairstow
  • Joe Root
  • Ben Stokes
  • Jos Butler
  • Chris Woakes
  • Jofra Archer
  • Stuart Broad
  • JL Denly
  • Sam Curran

Probable XI (Our Prediction):

Australia are being led by Tim Paine in this cricket series. Our prediction is of the same playing eleven that won them the test match at Birmingham. However, there is an outside chance of Starc or Hazelwood being included in place of Peter Siddle.

Here is our prediction of Australia’s playing XI:

  • Cameron Bancroft
  • David Warner
  • Usman Khawaja
  • Steve Smith
  • Matthew Wade
  • Travis Head
  • Nathan Lyon
  • Peter Siddle
  • James Pattinson
  • Tim Paine
  • Pat Cummins

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:

The miracle man, Jofra Archer, is now part of the Ashes team. This youngster from Caribbean islands have made some huge strides in the past few months and would like to create some more fond memories. Our prediction is of another impactful performance from him in this test match.

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:

The last international cricket test match played here was between Pakistan and England in 2018. There was a lot of help for the bowlers on day 1 of that test match as England bowled Pakistan out for just 174 runs. Our prediction is of a similar story in this test match and we expect Australia to be bowled out on day 1 for under 200 runs.

Our Prediction:

Australia will begin this game of cricket as favourites. They are sky-high on confidence and our prediction is of a good performance from them in this test match although England might hold the aces on day 1.

Top Batsman (Prediction):

Steve Smith (AUS) – 50+ runs

Top Bowler (Prediction):

Stuart Broad (ENG) – 3 or more wickets

Most Sixes (Prediction):

Steve Smith (AUS)
