Cricket Match Preview:
The first ODI cricket game between England and Pakistan was abandoned after only 18 overs were bowled in the first innings. Pakistan had scored 80 for 2 after 18 overs when the rain came in and no play was possible after that. With four cricket games remaining, this series in England will be crucial for the preparation of both teams considering the fact that the World Cup is scheduled to begin in the last week of May.
After a solitary T20 cricket game, which England won by seven wickets, they are looking to seal the ODI cricket series as well. Both England and Pakistan must have been frustrated with the abandonment of the first ODI as, with only four cricket games remaining, they would like to get the right combination. Pakistan would especially like to acclimatise quickly to English conditions.
Pakistan players are coming off from a well-deserved rest after the Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament, which was played in UAE and Pakistan. Pakistan will have a near full-strength squad for this cricket series after several of their cricketers were rested for the series against Australia. For this cricket series, all the English players who were part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have come back to the English side as well. The likes of Jos Butler, Jonny Bairstow, Jofra Archer and Moeen Ali were all part of different IPL sides and have now returned to the English side.
Jofra Archer especially has all the attention as he has not been included in the initial World Cup squad. He still has a chance to be included in the team if he could impress one and all with his performances in the cricket series. He bowled exceedingly well in the first cricket game against Pakistan. After four overs, he just gave away six runs and picked up the wicket of Fakhar Zaman. If selectors do select him, it will come at a cost of one of the already selected players. It will be interesting to see who misses out in that case.
Cricket Match Information:
England will take on Pakistan in the second ODI cricket game of the five-match ODI series. The World Cup is just around the corner and every cricket game from here on is going to be crucial for both teams. England have four games remaining before the World Cup, whereas Pakistan will play two additional ODIs against Afghanistan and Bangladesh apart from this cricket series.

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The last international ODI cricket game played here was between West Indies and England back in 2017. England won that cricket game easily after chasing down 288 runs set by West Indies batting first. They won the game of cricket by nine wickets. Our prediction is of the score of around 350 runs especially if England bat first. Conditions are expected to be cold and windy.
England will begin the game of cricket as favourites. They are the number one cricket side of the format and are expected to be very tough to beat. Our prediction is of England’s win in the first ODI cricket game.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Jonny Bairstow (ENG) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Adil Rasheed (ENG) – 2 or more wickets
