India are going to be led by Virat Kohli in this cricket series. After winning the three-match T20 cricket series, Virat and team would now be more confident about their approach and will look to dominate West Indies.

India have done some changes to their squad from the T20 cricket series. While the likes of Shivam Dubey and Shreyas Iyer are going to play a part in the series. India have also brought back Kedar Jadhav in the squad. Although Mayank Agarwal has been brought in as a replacement for Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul is expected to open with Rohit Sharma, thanks to his prime form.

Our prediction is of the inclusion of Mohammad Shami and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar in the playing eleven.

Here is our prediction of India’s playing XI:

  • Virat Kohli
  • Rohit Sharma
  • KL Rahul
  • Shreyas Iyer
  • Rishabh Pant
  • Manish Pandey
  • Ravindra Jadeja

  • Kuldeep Yadav
  • B Kumar
  • Yuzvendra Chahal

West Indies

West Indies are going to be led by Keiron Pollard in the ODI series. He has recently replaced Jason Holder as the captain in the limited overs format.

Taking positives from the losses, West Indies will definitely challenge India in the three-match ODI series. West Indies did well with the opportunities but ended up losing the cricket series. Now they have the opportunity to do well in the format in which they have been inconsistent at best.

West Indies too will have some new faces in their ODI squad compared to the T20 series. The likes of Shai Hope, Roston Chase and Sunil Ambris will be making their way into the playing eleven.

Our prediction is of the inclusion of Sunil Ambris in place of injured Evin Lewis in the playing eleven.

Here is our prediction of West Indies’ playing XI:

  • Lendl Simmons
  • Shai Hope
  • BA King
  • SO Hetmyer
  • N Pooran
  • Keiron Pollard
  • JO Holder
  • HR Walsh
  • Keemo Paul
  • SS Cottrell
  • Sunil Ambris

Expert Prediction: IND vs WI

After winning the three-match T20 series against West Indies, India seem to have hit the prime form. Suddenly every department of their team has begun to click, and they will be now tough to beat in the upcoming ODI cricket series.

West Indies, on the other hand, are still getting their combination and strategy right for the format. After being removed from ODI and T20 captaincy, Jason Holder would like to prove his detractors wrong through some useful contributions. West Indies did taste some success but lost to India in the T20 series. Their side has been marred by inconsistency in 50 over format of the cricket game and getting it right would be the focus of Kieron Pollard.

India will now be playing in arguably their favourite format. Their batsmen take their time in this format and hammer a big score, whereas their bowlers would also be getting more time to web their magic over the opposition. It remains to be seen how Indian batsmen decide to approach this format as their style in the final caught the fans with a pleasant surprise.

India have decided to include Mohammad Shami and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar in their 50 over squad. The presence of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav is also going to strengthen their bowling further.

Our prediction is of India starting this ODI series with a win. They seem to have covered all the bases and look more confident. West Indies, on the other hand, know that they will have to be a lot better than they have been so far.
