Cricket Match Preview:
India have justified their pre-tournament tag of favourites as they became the second team after Australia to qualify for the semi-final of the World Cup 2019. India’s consistency in this tournament has been remarkable as they continue to make it to the final four.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have largely justified the pre-tournament apprehensions about them. Barring a shocking win over England, they could not quite get on a roll. However, avoiding an upset against Afghanistan earlier in the tournament and beating West Indies in a close game should give them some satisfaction. Their three wins in the tournament are pretty good for the kind of form they came in with in the competition.
After getting beaten against England, India had to turn up quickly against Bangladesh and rest the doubts that crept in the previous game. They began in a consciously quick manner after choosing to bat first. Rohit Sharma smashed yet another hundred in the competition and took his tally of hundreds to four. Buoyed by his knock, India posted a good total of 314 runs for Bangladesh to chase.
While Bangladesh did give it a shot against an increasingly slow track and a good lineup of India, they failed to chase the total by 28 runs. While India’s bowling once again looked in fine shape, the finishing problem remained for India as they scored just 64 runs in the final ten overs. Questions are increasing by a minute against MS Dhoni’s performance in the tournament and it would be ideal for him and India if he can get a few against Sri Lanka in his typical manner.
Sri Lanka are coming into this cricket game after a close win over West Indies. It was arguably the best cricket game for Sri Lanka as they scored over 300 runs for the first time in the competition and then stopped rampant Nicholas Pooran from scripting a splendid chase. They would like to take inspiration from their win over India in 2017 in the Champions Trophy when they chased down the total of 300-plus with ease.

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The last international ODI cricket played here was between Sri Lanka and England recently. Sri Lanka won that cricket game by 20 runs. Our prediction is of the score of around 300 in this cricket game. Conditions are expected to be good for cricket.
India will begin this game of cricket as favourites. They do not have the burden of qualifying for the semis now and can play their best cricket without any fear. Hence, our prediction is of an Indian win.
