Cricket Match Preview:
Another cricket test match in India and another one-sided loss. The sad story of West Indies cricket continues as they failed to compete in yet another test match against India. The signs of progress were there before the series began. West Indies had drawn the test cricket series against Sri Lanka and won the series in a fine style against Bangladesh. But even before they had landed in India, the man behind the progress, Stuart Law, the coach, had resigned from his position. The series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh next month is going to be his last as a West Indies coach.
It was almost as if West Indies, too, resigned to its fate after that. While the reasons and permutation combinations behind that decision is still unknown, it surely seemed to put off West Indies from their preparation. To make matters worse, even their regular Captain Jason Holder got injured just before the first cricket test match against India and Kraig Brathwaite had to take over as skipper. West Indies could never recover after that and seemed completely off from their game.
India, on the other hand, just had one blemish in the game and that was KL Rahul’s failure. Apart from that, they simply had nothing to worry about for the entire game of cricket. Everything went accordingly to their plan. Young and promising Prithvi Shaw hit a glorious hundred, skipper Virat Kohli hit yet another International hundred, Kuldeep Yadav became the first Indian bowler to pick up 5 wickets in all three cricket formats, and Ravindra Jadeja hit his first international cricket hundred.
India, however, still has a couple of areas to take care of. One of them being the batting of KL Rahul, who just seems to be struggling against the incoming deliveries and the form of Ajinkya Rahane, who hasn’t hit a big one for a long time now. Both these men are going to be key members of India’s squad in Australia and if they have to do well in Australia these two men will have to be at their very best.
Cricket Match Information:
India and West Indies will take on each other in the second cricket test match of the series. It will be the second and final test match of the series. The test series will be followed by 5 ODIs and 3 T20 cricket matches. For India, it will be the last test match before the test series in Australia.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
India just have this cricket game to get everything right before Australia. Our prediction is that they might play all three openers in the squad, Prithvi Shaw, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal in this game.
Here is our prediction of India’s playing XI:
- KL Rahul
- Prithvi Shaw
- Mayank Agarwal
- Virat Kohli
- Cheteshwar Pujara
- Rishabh Pant
- Ravindra Jadeja
- Ravichandran Ashwin
- Mohammed Shami
- Umesh Yadav
- Kuldeep Yadav
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Kemar Roach hadn’t played the first cricket test match due to the death of his grandmother. Also, Jason Holder had gotten injured just before the game and didn’t play the first test match. Hence, our prediction is that both will be back for this game.
Here is our prediction of West Indies’s playing XI:
- K Brathwaite
- KOA Powell
- Shai Hope
- SO Hetmyer
- Roston Chase
- Shanon Dowrich
- Jason Holder
- Devendra Bishoo
- Shanon Gabriel
- KMA Paul
- Kemar Roach
Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Mayank Agarwal has been piling on runs for the last few years in the domestic circuit. Now, he might be getting his first opportunity if India decides to go with the weights of domestic runs. Hence, our prediction is if he does get the opportunity here, he might prove his worth instantly in his first international cricket game.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
Pitch in Hyderabad should be similar to every other Indian pitch. It should be full of runs for the first couple of days and then take a turn. Our prediction is to expect a typical Indian pitch.
India will be an overwhelming favourites for this game. They would like to extend their home dominance in this game as well. They haven’t lost a series at home since 2013 and that may continue even after this series. Our prediction is to expect another Indian win.
