Cricket Match Preview:
The cricket carnival has begun and as far as Women’s cricket is concerned, it does not get much bigger than this. All the top teams of the world will be participating to make a mark in the World Cup. Group B’s India Women and New Zealand women will take part in the opening cricket game. Considering the fact that they are part of the same group as the mighty Australia Women team, this cricket game might decide who goes to the next round.
It is going to be an exciting world T20 cricket tournament and no nation gets as excited as India. India women came up of the popularity charts after their performance in the previous 50 over cricket World Cup. They were the runners-up in that cricket tournament and since then, their every cricket game is seen with great interest. This makes the task of skipper Harmanpreet Kaur much more difficult as they are not the underdogs anymore. They are expected to win and that has its own pressure.
New Zealand women, on the other hand, would be led by the new skipper AE Satterthwaite after the resignation of their star performer Suzie Bates. They have been one of the most consistent sides of the world without winning the tournament ever. In the last World T20, they looked all set to win the tournament but were defeated by the eventual winner of the tournament, the West Indies women. On this occasion, they would like to go home with the trophy in their hands.
India women are coming into the tournament with a new coach, Ramesh Powar, after the resignation of their previous coach. They are also coming into the tournament without any real game time in recent times. Their series against the West Indies women was cancelled and hence, they have to only do with the warm-up matches, which they won as a preparation for the tournament.

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The pitch is expected to be a belter, which should be great to bat on. The T20 is all about runs and sixes and the curator is going to make sure that the crowd gets what they want to see. With two good sides in the contention, a high scoring cricket game is expected. Hence, our prediction is of the score of around 160 by the team batting first.
New Zealand women will begin the game as favourites. India women are coming into the tournament without much game time and that may play against them. New Zealand women reached the semi-final in the previous edition and they would be hoping to go one step further this time around.
