Cricket Match Preview:

It is getting worse by the day for Jamaica Tallawahs. First, they had lost three back-to-back games, then they were hit by the injury of Andre Russell, who was their skipper and a superstar batsman, and now after four games of cricket, they are still winless and have another addition to the injured list in the form of Rovman Powell. At this stage of the tournament, it cannot really get much worse for them.

Barbados Tridents, on the other hand, have been seeing everything unravel for the other teams. They have played just two cricket games so far in the tournament and are currently placed on the fifth spot. They have an ideal opportunity to rise up the ladder as they will be taking on Tallawahs, who are at the bottom of the points table and are very low on confidence. Jason Holder, the skipper of Tridents, will be speaking on the same lines to their playing eleven.

Tallawahs were taken for cleaners in their last cricket game by Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). 267 runs were smashed by TKR on batting first in 20 overs. Every single bowler was taken apart and it was a total massacre at Jamaica. In reply, Tallawahs did provide an inspirational show and while Chris Gayle and Phillips were going at great guns for opening partnership, anything seemed possible. However, in the end, Jamaica fell short by 41 runs and suffered their fourth consecutive loss of the season.

Tridents won their first cricket game of the season against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their last game. On batting first, they scored 186 runs buoyed by the knocks from Johnson Charles and LS Bouchers. A wonderful contribution was also made by recently retired Jean Paul Duminy, who scored 43 runs off 18 balls. During their defence, Sandeep Lamichhane played an important role and picked up three wickets. In the end, Tridents won the game by 18 runs.

Each team is supposed to play ten group games of cricket and the top four teams will progress to the playoff round. The final will be played on 12th October at Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad.

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:

GD Philips gave a good performance against Trinbago Knight Riders in the last cricket game. His knock of 62 runs off just 32 balls released a lot of pressure from Chris Gayle’s shoulders and helped Jamaica Tallawahs get off to a great start. His role will once again be very crucial in the next game especially because of the absence of Andre Russell. Our prediction is of another good performance from him.

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:

The last cricket game played at this cricket ground was between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders recently. The pitch was a batting paradise and the scores of 267 and 226 were scored by the two teams. Our prediction is of the score of around 220 in this game of cricket. Conditions are expected to be good for cricket.

Our Prediction:

Barbados Tridents will begin this cricket game as favourites. They are coming into this cricket game with a lot of confidence while Jamaica Tallawahs are at the exact opposite end of the spectrum. Hence, our prediction is of a Barbados’ win.
