Cricket Match Preview:
Durban Heat came back strongly against Tshwane Spartans in their second cricket game of the first-ever Mzansi Super League. They had a disappointing time in their first game of cricket against the table toppers Cape Town Blitz, when they lost the game by 3 wickets. Nelson Mandela Bay Giants, on the other hand, lost their last game against the Blitz as well by 12 runs through D/L method after winning their first game of cricket against Jozi Stars.
Mzansi Super League is gaining momentum with every side realizing their roles and combinations required to succeed. Each and every side of the tournament has played a game of cricket at least and things are slowly beginning to heat up. Durban Heat were literally beaten by one man in their first cricket game. Asif Ali’s 33 ball and 80 runs dwarfed Heat’s score of 157 and, despite the stutter from other end, Cape Town won the game.
Durban, however, kept their cool in the second game against Tshwane Spartans when after restricting the strong batting lineup comprising of AB de Villiers for the score of 139 runs, they chased down the total by 4 wickets. Giants, on the other hand, after winning the first game against Jozi stars comfortably by 5 wickets ran into red-hot Dale Steyn in the second game of cricket.
Giants had to chase a total of 175 runs against the Blitz and they never looked like chasing the total because of the spell by Steyn, who ended up with the figures of 4 overs 21 for 2. Giants ended up losing the game of cricket by 12 runs via D/L method. This game of cricket between the Heat and Giants is going to be crucial because both sides have tasted defeat and win and would like to be on a winning momentum.

Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Giants went the other route compared to Durban Heat. They lost their second game of cricket after winning the first game comfortably. However, they would not like to be too bothered about the loss as there is still a long way to go in the tournament. Our prediction is there will be no changes in their lineup.

- M Marais
- JT Smuts
- Ben Duckett
- HG Kuhn
- C Jonker
- Chris Morris
- R McLaren
- RS Second
- CJ Dala

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Hashim Amla has not been in great form in recent times. Even in the Mzansi Super League so far, he has not looked like the player we know him for. Our prediction is in the third game of cricket for Heat, he will make a significant contribution.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
Port Elizabeth will provide the bowlers with assistance first up. The game, being the night affair, will make it difficult for batsmen to really go for big hits from ball one. Hence, our prediction is of a score of around 150 for thr team batting first and that should prove to be a match-winning one. Conditions are expected to be dry.
Durban Heat will begin the game against Nelson Mandela Bay Giants as favourites. This is purely because of the win in the previous game for Heat and also because Giants batsmen looked rattled against the quick bowling of Dale Steyn and co. in their previous game. Heat also have many quality bowlers like Vernon Philander, who can pounce on that weakness. Hence, our prediction is to expect a Heat win.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Hashim Amla (DH) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Vernon Philander (DH) -2 or more wickets
Most Sixes (Prediction):
David Miller (DH)
Nelson Mandela Bay Giants – 2.00
Durban Heat – 1.66
