Cricket Match Preview:
As far as the rivalry between these two sides go, it has been all one-sided in favor of New South Wales. In the last five cricket games played between these two sides over the last five years New South Wales have defeated Queensland in every game. In this tournament, however, Queensland are currently at number 4 on the points table and New South Wales are at number 6 out of the total four cricket games played by both sides.
On the current form Queensland will be more down mentally compared to New South Wales. Queensland’s last game against the Western Australia went to the record book for all the wrong reasons. D’Arcy Short hammered one of the cricket’s highest List A scores of all time. Out of 387 runs scored by Western Australia, Short scored 257 runs.
Queensland never quite recovered from that carnage and lost the game by a huge margin of 116 runs despite a handy century by SD Heazlett and half century of Chris Lynn. At one stage, Queensland were in with a chance at 247 for 3 in 35.3 overs. Soon after that Queensland lost their way and lost 7 wickets for 24 runs. This shows that Queensland batsmen have been in good form because just in the previous game they easily chased down the total of 280 set by South Australia.
Queensland bowling once again would be dependent on the dependable shoulder of Billy Stanlake as the rest of the bowlers went the distance in the last game and will not be in a great frame of mind. New South Wales on the other hand won their last game of cricket against Tasmania, thanks to a special performance by Sean Abbott.
New South Wales had not managed to win a single game before that and struggled both with the bat and ball. While almost all of their bowlers have struggled, Sean Abbott has been one of the highest wicket taker in the tournament with 11 wickets so far in 4 innings. They will once again look up to him to do the damage especially considering the batting strength of Queensland.
It should be another cracking game of Cricket between the two sides. It promises to be a thrilling encounter, where the New South Wales bowler would look to restrict the dynamic batsmen of Queensland.
Cricket Match Information:
New South Wales and Queensland will be taking on each other in a must win game of cricket for both sides. Both teams so far have only one win out of the four games played. The final of this edition of JLT One Day Cup will be played on 10th October.

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
Pitch is expected to be a typical Sydney pitch with some assistance to the spinners. It will provide some assistance to the pacers initially and then provide spin to the spinners. Batting might be a challenge especially in the second innings. Hence, our prediction is that team batting first might be the winner of this game.
Despite the victory in their last game we are predicting Queensland as our winner for this encounter. Their batting prowess is very strong and if their bowling can do their work they will fancy their chances in this game.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Chris Lynn (QLD) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Billy Stanlake (QLD) – 2 or more wickets
Most Sixes (Prediction):
M Bryant (QLD)
