Cricket Match Preview:
Bangladesh’s torrid times in New Zealand continued as they lost the first cricket test match as well after losing the ODI cricket series. Back-to-back losses do not do any good especially when there is a World Cup around the corner. As a result, Bangladesh would like to do much better than they have so far on the tour and even a respectable draw can do a world of good to them in this test match.
As predicted in our column for the previous test match, Tom Latham proved to be a handful for Bangladesh bowlers but there were two other centurions in the only innings of New Zealand. Jeet Raval scored his first ever century in this format and Kane Williamson scored a double hundred to mount the trouble for Bangladesh. All this resulted in New Zealand scoring a gigantic 715 for 6.
Bangladesh too had their shares of centurions in the first cricket game with Tamim Iqbal scoring one in the first innings and Saumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah scoring wonderful hundreds in second cricket innings. The problem for Bangladesh was their low scoring first innings which put them behind at very early stage in the game.
New Zealand batsmen are on cruise control mode right now. All of their batsmen looked in great form in recent times. Ross Taylor, Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls are going to be a handful for Bangladeshi bowlers once again. Likes of Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls scored heavily in the cricket series against Sri Lanka and are going to pose a big threat to Bangladesh. For Bangladesh, the absence of Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan are going to hit them again.
Even bigger challenge for Bangladesh is going to be New Zealand bowlers who are just so good in these conditions. Likes of Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Neil Wagner are three terrific trio in these conditions and Bangladesh will do well to repeat their second innings feat of Hamilton.
Cricket Match Information:
New Zealand will take on Bangladesh in the second cricket Test match. They have already won the first test match and they are one win away from winning this cricket series. Bangladesh played well in the second innings of the first cricket test match and would like to take heart from that.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Tom Latham has been in unbelievable form in the longer format of the cricket game for New Zealand. He has posted some huge scores in test matches against Sri Lanka. Our prediction is of a huge score in this cricket series as well from him.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The last international cricket Test match was played here between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in December 2018. The pitch had something in it for the pacers but like most pitches in New Zealand, it became beautiful for batting as well. Our prediction is of high scoring cricket game between the two sides with the scores of around 500 by the side batting first. Conditions are expected to be dry.
New Zealand will begin this game of cricket as favourites. They won the first cricket test match against Bangladesh and will be looking to finish the tour with Test series win as well. Hence, our prediction is of New Zealand’s victory in this cricket game.
