Cricket Match Preview:
Pakistan came back with a bang in the second cricket test match against New Zealand. It was a tricky challenge for Pakistan as they had lost the first test match by a narrow margin of 4 runs. New Zealand are known to be a relentless team with plans for each individual in the opposition cricket team hence, no game of cricket is easier against them. This made the Pakistani victory even more special.
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first at Dubai. While not many agree with their method, they exactly knew what they were doing in this part of the world. They were in no hurry and just wanted to bat New Zealand out of the game. However, in the beginning, they lost the early wickets and looked under pressure after the infamous collapse in the previous cricket game.
That is when Harris Sohail came on to the crease and played the marathon knock of 147 runs in 421 deliveries and led Pakistan to a safe total of 418 runs after consuming almost two days. There was a danger of batting a bit too slow but Pakistan just wanted to bat once and put pressure on New Zealand in the next three days. They did exactly that and Yasir Shah wreaked havoc in New Zealand lineup in a spell, where he took 8 for 41 and bowled them out for 90 runs.
No team can recover from such a situation, especially not in sub-continent. New Zealand battled hard but in the end, lost the game of cricket by an inning and 16 runs. Going into the third test match, their confidence will not be in great shape and Pakistan will look to pounce on that yet again.
Cricket Match Information:
An exciting decider is in store as New Zealand and Pakistan will take on each other in the third and final cricket test match. Series is level right now with New Zealand winning the first test match and Pakistan winning the second test match. If Pakistan wins the final test match, it will be another triumph at the desert after defeating Australia recently.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Pakistan’s playing eleven looks in fine form at the moment. They had their collapse in one inning of first cricket test match but since then, they look sorted and in sync with the situation. Our prediction is they will go with the same playing eleven as their last cricket game.
Here is our prediction of Pakistan’s playing XI:
- Mohammad Hafeez
- Azhar Ali
- Babar Azam
- Harris Sohail
- Sarfraz Ahmed
- Asad Shafiq
- Bilal Asif
- Yasir Shah
- Hasan Ali
- Mohammad Abbas
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
New Zealand were very good in the first cricket test match, but they completely unravelled in the first innings of the second cricket test match. They will have to work on their batting against spin because Pakistan will look to use that weakness again. Our prediction is they will go with the same playing eleven as their second game.
Here is our prediction of New Zealand’s playing XI:
- Jeet Raval
- Kane Williamson
- Tom Latham
- Ross Taylor
- Colin De Grandhomme
- HM Nichols
- BJ Watling
- Ish Sodhi
- AY Patel
- Trent Boult
- Neil Wagner
Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Yasir Shah was outstanding in the second cricket test match. He returned with a historic figure for any Pakistani bowler. His confidence will be sky high and our prediction is he will return with an excellent figure once again.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
Abu Dhabi’s surface changed its nature dramatically after the first couple of days of the game. When New Zealand were here in 2014, they made the most of it as they made 690 runs in reply to Pakistan’s 351. They knew that the first innings runs will be critical as nothing was easy in the 3rd and 4th innings. Pakistan will look to repeat their Dubai feat once again here.
Pakistan will undoubtedly begin the game as favourites. Their demolition of New Zealand in the second test cricket match has helped them recover from the shocking loss in the first game of cricket. Our prediction is of a Pakistani victory.
