Cricket Match Preview:
One man almost single-handedly won the game of cricket for Sri Lanka in the second cricket ODI against New Zealand. Thisara Perera hit 13 sixes in his knock of 140 off just 74 deliveries and brought Sri Lanka within touching distance of the most unlikely victory. In the end, however, Sri Lanka fell short by 21 runs and lost the series.
New Zealand once again won the toss and elected to bat first. Unlike the last cricket game, they found a new hero in Colin Munro, who scored 87 off just 77 deliveries and, along with fine knocks from Ross Taylor’s 90 off 105 deliveries, took New Zealand to another 300 plus score.
However, the X-factor for them once again proved to be James Neesham. First, he smashed 64 off 37 deliveries and propelled New Zealand to an above par total of 319 runs. Then while bowling, he picked up 2 wickets for 48 runs and helped New Zealand to strike in regular intervals.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, produced an improved performance since the last cricket game but still ended up giving 319 runs to New Zealand. They would have still hoped for a good performance with the bat but instead, they found themselves at 203 for 8 and looked down and out of the cricket game.
But Thisara Perera had some other ideas. He was made some sort of a villain after the first cricket game and even in this cricket game he bowled poorly and got smashed for 69 runs in just 7 overs. He made more than amends for the hammering and almost got Sri Lanka over the line with his 13 big sixes.
In the final cricket game of the series, we might get to see both teams trying out a few new players. Keeping the larger goal in mind, both teams will be looking at some of the other players to stand up and make a name for themselves. Hence, it will be interesting to see if both teams remain as competitive as they were in the first two cricket games.
Cricket Match Information:

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The last time an international cricket game was played here was between New Zealand and Pakistan. Pakistan scored 246 runs while batting first and defended it easily. Our prediction is of the score of around 280 in this game of cricket. Conditions are expected to be dry.
New Zealand will begin this game of cricket as favourites again. They are the home side and know the conditions better than anyone. Sri Lanka’s recent struggle also makes it tough for them to compete against New Zealand. Hence, our prediction is of a New Zealand victory.
