Cricket Match Preview:

In a helpful condition for bowlers, New Zealand were given the invitation to feast on by Indian captain Virat Kohli in the first warm-up game. Kohli, after winning the toss, chose to bat on a pitch with lots of glass covering and overcast condition. New Zealand did not need a second invitation after that as they bowled out India for the score of 179 runs under 50 overs and then chased it down with ease by six wickets.

West Indies, on the other hand, were found wanting against Australia in the first warm-up game of the competition. After being sent into bat first, West Indies were bowled out for just 229 runs after 46.2 overs. Barring Evin Lewis and Carlos Brathwaite, none of the batsmen looked in good touch and that should concern the skipper Jason Holder. Although Chris Gayle and Jason Holder himself did not play the game, a better performance was expected from the boys in maroon.

Regardless of the warm-up result, the tide seems to be turning ever so slightly for West Indies. It might once again be a false hope but in Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Oshane Thomas, West Indies have unearthed some fantastic talents. Combine these talents with destructive Chris Gayle and Andre Russell, you have one of the most dangerous ODI sides in the world. South Africa will have to be careful with their plans when they face these players in the warm-up cricket game.

New Zealand will know that they will not find the same conditions that they got against India in the last warm-up game of cricket. In those conditions, the likes of Trent Boult and Colin de Grandhomme made hay and troubled Indian batsmen. However, in the World Cup, the pitches are expected to be very flat and New Zealand will not find a more dangerous batting lineup than West Indies. It will be a good test for the bowlers against a lineup known to punish bowlers on their day.

Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:

The last international ODI cricket game played here was between Pakistan and England recently. England won that cricket game by six wickets after chasing down 359 runs in just 44.5 overs. Our prediction is of the score of around 300 once again. Conditions are expected to be cold and windy.

New Zealand will begin this game of cricket as favourites. West Indies will be a side which no one will take lightly but New Zealand seem to have all the bases covered. Hence, our prediction is of a New Zealand victory.
