New Zealand are being led by fast bowler, Tim Southee, in this cricket series. Due to the injury to their regular captain, Kane Williamson, Southee has been handed over the responsibility of leading the side.
As predicted before the last cricket game, New Zealand made a strong comeback in the cricket series. They won the second T20 cricket game by 21 runs and levelled the series with three more games to go.
Our prediction is of the same playing eleven that played the last cricket game unless there is an injury concern.
Here is our prediction of New Zealand’s playing XI:
- Tim Southee
- Colin Munro
- Martin Guptill
- Tom Seifert
- Ross Taylor
- Colin de Grandhomme
- James Neesham
- Mitch Santner
- Lockie Ferguson
- Ish Sodhi
- DJ Mitchell
England are being led by Eoin Morgan in this cricket series. There were some speculations regarding Morgan’s future post the World Cup win, but selectors seem to have made up their mind at least till the World T20 tournament next year.
After winning the first cricket game and surprising the host, England lost the second game of cricket. They should not be disheartened though as the loss margin was not too big. They have a young squad at their disposal and, so far, they have performed well enough in the series. With three more cricket games to go, there is enough opportunity for the side to turn around the series.
Our prediction is of the inclusion of youngster Tom Banton in the playing eleven in the next game of cricket. Tom Curran could make a comeback as well for this game of cricket in place of Saqib Mahmood.
Here is our prediction of England’s playing XI:
- Eoin Morgan
- Jonny Bairstow
- Tom Banton
- James Vince
- Sam Billing
- Lewis Gregory
- Sam Curran
- Tom Curran
- Pat Brown
- Chris Jordan
- Adil Rashid
Expert Prediction: NZ vs ENG
New Zealand would have breathed a sigh of relief as they finally managed to get better of an England’s team on a cricket field. After being beaten comfortably by a young side of England by seven wickets in the first game of cricket, New Zealand found their mojo in Wellington.
After being sent into bat first once again by England, New Zealand once again got off to a poor start. Colin Munro once again fell early but Martin Guptill found some form and scored 41 off just 28 balls. Colin de Grandhomme, Ross Taylor and, most especially, James Neesham provided a significant boost to New Zealand’s score and helped them to a score of 176 runs.
During the defence of their score, New Zealand made repetitive dents in England’s lineup and never allowed them to gain momentum. Mitchell Santner once again was the pick of the bowler and picked up three wickets for just 25 runs. Skipper Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson and Ish Sodhi picked up two wickets each and derailed the run chase of England completely.
For England, David Malan, Eoin Morgan and Chris Jordan scored thirties but none of those was significant enough to change the course of the game of cricket. Jonny Bairstow and James Vince failed in this game of cricket. There is a chance that England might bring in the young Tom Banton at the top of the order.
Our prediction guru expects New Zealand to extend their lead further in this cricket series.
Toss prediction? – On the small grounds of New Zealand, the oppositions do not quite know what target should be enough. As a result, it is always better to chase. Hence, just like the past two games of cricket, teams should continue to chase after winning the toss.
