Cricket Match Preview:
Pakistan continued its amazing run of form as they went 2-0 up in a three-match cricket series against New Zealand. It was expected that New Zealand will give them a good fight, but Pakistan overcame every challenge and won their 11th consecutive T20 series. New Zealand, despite all their fight, have nothing to show for it in the series and their return to cricket have not been as they would have liked.
After winning the first game by just 2 runs, Pakistan had shown that they were ready to win the games from any position. Now only one challenge was left, their every victory in recent times against Australia and New Zealand had been while batting first. They were scoring 150 runs after batting first and then their bowlers were doing the rest for them. So the challenge was to bat second and still win the game.
New Zealand got exactly what they wanted in the second T20 cricket game. They won the toss and elected to bat first. They were once again led by the knock of Colin Munro, who scored a quickfire 44 off just 28 deliveries. New Zealand’s inning was given the required impetus by Corey Anderson as his knock of 44 off just 25 deliveries helped them reach a total of 153 runs, a total that Pakistan had made the habit of defending.
Pakistan had their work cut out as they have been known to be poor chasers. But the innings never fell short of momentum and each and every batsman in the top 5 contributed to the cause of the chase. In the end, it was the knock of 34 off just 21 deliveries by Mohammad Hafeez that sealed the win for Pakistan. This win would have been especially pleasing for Pakistan as they now know that nobody could doubt their quality.
Cricket Match Information:
Pakistan will look to clean sweep New Zealand when they take on each other in the third and final T20 cricket game. Pakistan have already won the series by winning the first two T20 cricket games and have an unassailable lead of 2-0. New Zealand would like to avoid the same fate as Australia, who were clean swept as well a week ago.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
Pakistan brought Fakhar Zaman back in their line up as predicted in our last column. That move proved to be mighty effective as he gave Pakistan just the start they needed in the run chase. Our prediction is they might give an opportunity to Usman Khan in place of Hasan Ali as they have already won the series.
Here is our prediction of Pakistan’s playing XI:
- Mohammad Hafeez
- Fakhar Zaman
- Babar Azam
- Shoaib Malik
- Sarfraz Ahmed
- Asif Ali
- Faheem Ashraf
- Imad Wasim
- Shaheen Afridi
- Shahdab Khan
- Usman Khan
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
New Zealand were very good in the first cricket game, where they fell short by just 2 runs from winning the game. They were also good in the second game but so far, they have not achieved any victory. To get into the groove before the World Cup next year, they would like to start winning so that the confidence of the side does not fall down. Our prediction is they might include Lockie Ferguson in this game of cricket instead of Tim Southee.
Here is our prediction of New Zealand’s playing XI:
- Glenn Philips
- Colin Munro
- Kane Williamson
- TL Seifert
- Ross Taylor
- Colin De Grandhomme
- Corey Anderson
- Lockie Ferguson
- Ish Sodhi
- Adam Milne
- Aizaz Patel
Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Fakhar Zaman had a good outing in the second cricket game after he was included in the side. He would like to end this cycle of in and out and would like to seal his spot as an opener in the team. Our prediction is that he will have another good game in the third T20 international.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
So far, most of the T20 games played between Pakistan and the other teams have produced the scores of around 150 in Dubai. Our prediction is that this trend will continue and the team scoring 150 will end up winning the game of cricket. Conditions are expected to be dry.
Pakistan will begin this cricket game as massive favourites. They have just completed their 11 consecutive T20 series victory. Their confidence would be sky high and it will not be easy for New Zealand to break their winning momentum.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Fakhar Zaman (PAK) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Shahdab Khan (PAK) – 2 or more wickets
Most Sixes (Prediction):

Pakistan – 1.54
New Zealand – 2.30
