Expert Prediction: PR v CTB
Mzansi Super League is up and running and a lot is at stake if you are a South African cricket fan. Not everything is going right with it at the moment. Legends have retired, good players have taken Kolpak deals and the rest are still finding their feet at International level. Amidst this, the fans would be hoping to find an exciting new talent along with the brilliance of yesteryear superstars.
Cape Town Blitz got off to a terrific start in the second season of Mzansi Super League. Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan got them off to a terrific start. Malan batted through and scored 99 runs which propelled them to the score of 213 runs.
Cape Town Blitz’s bowlers, during the defence, went for a few early in the innings. In fact, at one stage, Jozi Stars looked all set to win the game. But Dale Steyn used his experience well in the end and led Blitz to a 25 runs victory.
Paarl Rocks, led by Faf du Plessis, will be looking to do as well as last year. He will have the experience of JP Duminy to fall back on as well. Faf’s future is uncertain in the shortest format of the game. He would like to show his class with the bat as well as lead the side to a title win to stamp his authority this season.
Our prediction is of a winning start for Cape Town Blitz in this season of Mzansi Super League.
