Cricket Match Preview:
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will be looking to register their first win of this cricket season and open their win account at their home ground when they take on Jamaica Tallawahs on Wednesday. Tallawahs have won the tournament on two occasions in the very first edition in 2013 and in 2016. Patriots, on the other hand, came close to winning the trophy in 2017 when they finished as runners-up.
To state Tallawahs as the most explosive side of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will not be a hyperbole. When two of the all-time greats of the format, Chris Gayle and Andre Russell, play for the same team, a lot of fireworks can be expected. However, Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) managed to find a way through those two men and handed Tallawahs their first loss of the season.
Meanwhile, Patriots have not been at their best in this season yet. They have faltered with the bat on both occasions and have found themselves on the wrong side of the results. While they could not chase down a par score of 152 runs set by TKR in the first cricket game, they managed to post just 153 runs on batting first on a much better pitch in the second cricket game. Guyana Amazon Warriors chased down the total easily and handed Patriots their second consecutive loss.
Both Tallawahs and Patriots have some glaring holes in the lineup. While Tallawahs are understandably heavily reliant on Chris Gayle and Andre Russell, Patriots’ new skipper, Carlos Brathwaite, has not managed to strike the chord with the squad. While it is still early days for Jamaica in the tournament, Patriots will have to find a way to extract performances from the likes of Evin Lewis and Mohammad Hafeez.
Cricket Match Information:
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will take on Jamaica Tallwahs in their third cricket game of the CPL. While Patriots have played two games so far, Tallawahs have played only one game in the competition. Each team will play ten group games of cricket and the top four teams will progress to the playoff round. The final will be played on 12th October at Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are being led by Carlos Brathwaite this year. Last year, they were led by Chris Gayle, who has moved to Jamaica Tallawahs this year. Our prediction is of some changes to their playing eleven because of two back-to-back losses.

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Andre Russell will be our man-to-watch-out-for in this game of cricket. He looked in-form in the last cricket game but could not finish the cricket game for Jamaica Tallawahs. Our prediction is of a good game for him if he stays fit.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The last T20 cricket game played on this ground was between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Barbados Tridents last year. Patriots won the game by two wickets by chasing down the total of 168 runs. Our prediction is of the score of around 190 in this game of cricket. Conditions are expected to be good for cricket.
Jamaica Tallawahs will begin this cricket game as favourites. They are two-time champions in this tournament. Although they have lost three out of the last five cricket games against Patriots, our prediction is of Tallawahs’ win due to a lot of firepower in their rank.
Top Batsman (Prediction):
Chris Gayle (JT) – 50+ runs
Top Bowler (Prediction):
Andre Russell (JT) – 2 wickets
Most Sixes (Prediction):
