Cricket Match Preview:
Another exciting clash is in store as two teams from Sydney will clash with each other in their second game of cricket. Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers, both fresh from their win in their respective first cricket game, will be looking to win two consecutive games in a row.
Sydney Thunder, led by Shane Watson, gave a fantastic account of themselves in their first cricket game against Melbourne Stars. Watson, accompanied by two English superstars Jos Butler and Joe Root, will be looking to use that experience and take Thunder the distance in this tournament.
Sydney Sixers, on the other hand, led by Moises Henriques, will be looking to go at least one better than the last time when they finished at number fifth. They have a slightly less number of superstars in their line-up but there is no shortage of talent in their change room. They showed that in their first game of cricket against Perth Scorchers.
Thunder’s game might have been a bit curtailed due to the rain, but they had already posted a mammoth total of 181 runs on the board. While everybody contributed in equal measures, it was the knock of Jason Sangha 63 off just 36 deliveries that really pushed them towards a big total. In the defence of their total, they bowled brilliantly and did not allow any batsman of Stars to last long at the crease.
Sixers, on the other hand, gave a thoroughly professional performance against Perth Scorchers, who stumbled on to their second consecutive loss. On choosing to bat first, buoyed by the wonderful innings from Daniel Hughes and Jordan Silk, who scored 62 and 67 respectively, Sixers put on the score of 164. It was a big score considering the bowling line-up of Perth Scorchers. Sixers defended their total with perfection, with Sean Abbot starring with his performance of 29 for 3 wickets.

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Jos Butler had an average outing in the first game of cricket. He is arguably the biggest signing of this edition of Big Bash League and Thunder would be hoping for a thunderous performance from him in the next game of cricket. Our prediction is of a good performance from him in this game of cricket.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
It will be the first game ever on this cricket ground. The nature of the surface is not quite known but knowing the basic nature of surfaces in Sydney, it should be a good pitch to bat on and some help for the spinners. Our prediction is of a score of around 160 in this game of cricket. Conditions are expected to be dry.
Sydney Thunder will be our predicted winner for this game of cricket, only by a slight margin though. They have the experience in their line-up and that gives them the edge over the Sixers. Our prediction is of a Thunder’s victory.
