Trinbago Knight Riders
TKR will be led by Keiron Pollard in yet another qualifier. After managing to qualify for the playoffs somehow, they had a tough challenge of facing Patriots in the eliminator.
Prior to the eliminator, TKR had not managed to get a single win in their last six group games of cricket. However, they found their mojo back and defeated Patriots quite easily in the end.
For TKR, their maverick spinner, Sunil Narine, made a comeback after sitting out for three cricket games. Narine immediately made an impact and produced a match-winning performance through his spell of 4 overs 10 for 2.
Our prediction is of the same playing eleven that won them the eliminator; however, they can choose to go with Jimmy Neesham, who was dropped out of the eliminator, in this cricket game.
Here is our prediction of Trinbago Knight Riders’ playing XI:
- Lendl Simmons
- AJ Hosein
- Keiron Pollard
- Jimmy Neesham
- Colin Munro
- Sunil Narine
- Dinesh Ramdin
- Chris Jordan
- Khary Pierre
- Ali Khan
- Darren Bravo
Tridents are being led by Jason Holder in this tournament. They finished the group stage at the number two spot on the points table. That finish allowed them another chance to qualify for the final despite losing the first qualifier quite easily against GAW.
Despite the loss in the qualifier, Tridents should not make too many changes as they were beaten by the best side in the tournament by a distance. GAW had won ten groups games and were riding high on confidence.
Our prediction guru is going with the same playing eleven for Tridents.
Here is our prediction of Barbados Tridents’ playing XI:
- Shakib Al Hasan
- Jason Holder
- Johnson Charles
- Ashley Nurse
- HR Walsh
- Jonathan Carter
- Alex Hales
- RA Reifer
- Shai Hope
- JP Duminy
- Harry Gurney
Expert Prediction: TKR vs BT
Another year and yet another qualifier for TKR. They have been hands down the most successful side in the tournament history and they have given themselves a chance to win another title.
Their opponent for the second qualifier will be Tridents. They had very successful three seasons in the beginning, which included a title win in 2014 and a runners-up finish in the very next year. However, since then, they had failed to make it to the playoffs until this year.
TKR had a comfortable cricket game against Patriots. With the help of their ace spinner, Sunil Narine, they restricted Patriots to a low total of 125 runs. In reply, Lendl Simmons once again top-scored for them and with some helpful contributions from Keiron Pollard and Dinesh Ramdin, they managed to win the game quite comfortably in the end.
Tridents, on the other hand, had a tough cricket game against the side to beat, GAW. Tridents gave away 218 runs on the bowling first and were always chasing the game since then. In reply, they could only manage 188 runs and lost the cricket game by 30 runs.
In the last five games of cricket between TKR and Tridents, Tridents have won three cricket games. Two of those wins have come in this season itself and they would like to carry that confidence in this crucial cricket game as well. However, when it comes to big game exposure, no team comes close to TKR hence, our prediction guru is going with TKR as the winner of this game of cricket.
Toss prediction? – The team winning the toss will look to bowl first. T20 format is a chase-friendly format and with teams preferring to know what they need to chase hence, bowling first is a no-brainer.
