Cricket Match Preview:
The battle between the two sides continue as West Indies will take on England in the second cricket ODI at Barbados. While the first cricket game has not been played yet, the second ODI will give us more insight into the preparation of both sides.
West Indies will look at the experience of Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis at the top of the order. While Gayle, in the last leg of his career, would like to leave a lasting impression with his performance in this cricket series against the best side in the world. On the other hand, Evin Lewis, coming back after the injury lay off, would like to regain his form.
England, on the other hand, are coming into this series following their cricket series win over India and Sri Lanka. While they won the ODI cricket series against India at home, they beat Sri Lanka in their own backyard. Even more than their results, the way they have completely changed their mindset since the debacle of 2015 cricket World Cup is something to admire. They have posted the maximum total of over 300 runs in this format since the World Cup.
West Indies’ batting has the firepower to match England but they will have to work on their consistency. England’s batting is their strongest suit but their bowling is equally handy and West Indies will have to target their bowlers. They have found good talent in Oshane Thomas, who can trouble batsmen with his height and bounce. They will also be looking at Kemar Roach to continue his good form.
England are also scheduled to play the ODI cricket series against Pakistan at home. That will be the last cricket series for them before the upcoming cricket World Cup. Since that series will be played at home, they will be looking at these 5 cricket games in West Indies as a challenge.
Cricket Match Information:
After winning the test series against England, West Indies will now take them on in a 5-match ODI cricket series. The second cricket ODI will be played at Barbados as well, where West Indies won a cricket test match earlier on the tour. It is going to be the last ODI cricket series at home for West Indies before the upcoming 50 over World Cup.
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
West Indies had a sorry tour of India in 50 over cricket format. They competed well but could not quite win the series. However, the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope had a bright series. Our prediction is of the inclusion of Evin Lewis and Chris Gayle into the playing eleven.
Here is our prediction of West Indies’ playing XI:
- Evin Lewis
- Chris Gayle
- Shai Hope
- Shimron Hetmyer
- Rovman Powell
- Darren Bravo
- Kemar Roach
- Ashley Nurse
- Shanon Gabriel
- Oshane Thomas
- Jason Holder
Probable XI (Our Prediction):
England have one of the best, if not the best, ODI cricket team. Our prediction is they will play the same playing eleven that helped them win the cricket series in Sri Lanka.
Here is our prediction of England’s playing XI:
- Jason Roy
- Johnny Bairstow
- Joe Root
- Eoin Morgan
- Ben Stokes
- Jos Butler

Cricket Statistics and Prediction:
Shimron Hetyer has had a great record in recent times in ODI cricket format. His performances have been slightly below par in the test cricket series against England. Our prediction is he is going to be the man to watch out for in this cricket game.
Cricket Match Conditions and Pitch:
The last international ODI cricket game played here was between England and West Indies. England defeated West Indies in that cricket ODI by a huge 186 runs. Our prediction is of a score of around 270 runs. Conditions are expected to be dry.
England will begin the game of cricket as favourites. They are the number 1 cricket side of the format and are expected to provide a tough challenge to the hosts. Our prediction is of England’s win in the first ODI cricket game.
